As you stroll to your Market Kitchen, learn more about this colorful, unique and award winning neighborhood which includes a diverse residential population, the Seattle Art Museum, and unique one of a kind shops.
Enter the bright and spacious Market Kitchen, take a seat at the counter and feel yourself relax. Learn how to prepare and enjoy an authentic Northwest meal made with the ingredients chosen by and for you. The menu will vary with the seasons, highlighting the special bounty of each.

This series was designed to introduce the basics of cooking, technique and building flavor profiles. Each of the first four classes will focus on specific ingredients and technique., for your final you will design and prepare a four course meal. Here is the basic format, but it is somewhat flexible based on the interests of the group.
Class 1 - Tarts and Tears: Sweet and Savory Tarts and the Onion Family.
Class 2 - The Grain Drain: Explore the variety and uses for grains, from salads to desserts
Class 3 - So Now What? How to take a single protein and prepare it three different ways
Class 4 - Fast and Hot or Slow and Low: Searing and Braising Techniques
Class 5 - Show me the Kitchen: The class prepares and dines on the dinner of their choice
Classes are 3 hours in length for five consecutive weeks. Price per person $ 299.75 (incl. WA sales tax) for the series

This class presents an exclusive opportunity for you to plan a unique evening event for you and your chosen guests. Each dinner is designed to meet the needs of your group with suggestions from Diane based on what is currently fresh, local and seasonal. Sit back, relax, or put on an apron and help Diane to create your custom menu. A wonderful possibility, this could be your next girls' night out, a corporate team building event or dinner club gathering. Market Kitchen Cuisine Series
A series of five cooking classes designed to provide an in-depth look at a particular style of cooking or regional cuisine. Series offerings might focus on organic cooking, Italian cuisine or holiday foods. Each class will highlight one course of a meal -- appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert. For the final class, participants will celebrate with a complete meal based on a menu chosen by the group in keeping with the theme. See the calendar for specific themes.
5 classes - 6:00 to 8:00 PM for four weeks, final class 6:00 to 9:00 PM - $ 299.75 tax incl. per person
Market Kitchen Community Connection
Each month, Diane prepares her own menu and invites you to share in the hospitality of her Market Kitchen. Expect the unexpected; anything goes. Join Diane for three hours of instruction, entertainment and conversation. Passions may prevail -- for food, for community, for fun. Class fees will be donated to a local charity.
